Fish are aquatic vertebrates that possess gills for breathing and fins for swimming. Fish are ectotherms that allow their body temperature to fluctuate with the surrounding water temperature.

 Mosquitofish Gambusia affinis Eat mosquito larvae, beetles, mayflies, and other invertebrates. Sometimes called gambusia. May be the most widespread freshwater fish in the world in that it has been introduced into many countries for mosquito control. Lifespan 2-3 yrs. |
