Venus' clouds show evidence of strong high level winds in UV light.
Venus' surface features are revealed in this "color" radar map of
the surface. The color is an estimation of the average color of crustal
rocks as imaged by Soviet landers.
False-color radar map of the surface (looking down on the north
pole): red - higher surface levels, blue - lower surface levels.
Note the red colored higher level region just below the midpoint of the
image. This is one of just a few "proto-contient" like regions found.
