• WELCOME! I am a Professor of Political Science. My professional interests lie in the areas of the Presidency, Congress, the legislative process, political parties, elections, and political behavior.

• I began teaching at North Georgia in the fall of 1993. I spent the prior year as a Visting Assistant Professor at Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis), and five years prior as an instructor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I received a B.A. from the State University of New York College at Oneonta, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I am also editor and contributor to The Basics of American Govenment, Fourth edition, also available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and direct from the publisher, University of North Georgia Press.
